Find Care & Housing
Frances
I am sorry the link didn’t work for you. You will need to copy and paste in your browser OR just go to RESOURCES at the top of this page. Go to Veterans under V and you will see many articles, questions etc, including the one I posted. Additionally go to Aid&Attendance for Vets and read about the necessary qualifications. An initial requirement is he had to have served at least one day during war time.
Also there is often a local VA office at or near your county courthouse you can call or visit for information.
I hope this helps.

Here is a care guide from this site on VA benefits. It might familiarize you a bit before calling.

Do call your local VA. They will have a lot of questions for you about date, length of service, whether active or not, and etc. You would need to qualify for said services. This is all about as individual as your own thumbprints, so it will need to be researched by you. I do wish you the best of luck.

The first thing to do either you or your dad is to find out if he has what is called a "Service Connected Disability"
The disability Or disabilities will be classified from 0% to 100% or above (yes the % can go above 100%)
The higher the % the more benefits the Veteran is entitled to.
But the Veteran can get Home Health Services if the meet certain qualifications.
Contact your local Veterans Assistance Commission or your States Department of Veterans Affairs. You can also contact the local VA and start with finding out the %.
Those are your first steps in determining benefits.
